Dancers will explore all genres of dance: ballet, hip hop, creative movement, folk and tap and include dance history, anatomy and watch dance videos from all forms of dance. Offering classes in the Graded work of the Cecchetti Ballet Method by Hilarie Neely, licentiate member of the Cecchetti Council of America. A week workshop including character class.

The Cecchetti Method offers a teacher a completely balanced and analyzed system of theory and execution for the planned development of a student. Students are advanced into class levels on the basis of technical mastery of specific steps, understanding of alignment/center, use of the French terminology, musicality and interpretation of the music. Taking Summer Classes in the Cecchetti Method gives a student the ability to understand in more depth their study of ballet. THIS IS A PERFECT WAY TO PROGRESS in a short period of time!

If you have never taken Cecchetti grades, you must start with Level 1-2.

Students 9 years and older, completed Footlight Ballet 2 or 3 (studying 2 years min.), approval of the school director are eligible to participate in these Cecchetti classes, starting at Level 1.

A three day dance intensive July 29 – 31 for the serious dancer with guest artists from Ballet Idaho and other companies TBA. Classes for Juniors (entering 5-6th grade in the fall), Intermediate level (12-16 yrs.) and Advanced level (15 yrs. and older) students. Dancers take classes all day in ballet, conditioning, hip hop and modern.
